Comparing and Contrasting EssaysIf you are thinking about using an essay sample for your AP Exam, you should also consider the use of Comparing and Contrasting essays to make sure that you choose the right answer. Many people get a lot of 'red flags' when they are studying for the test. These 'flags' can include; feeling stressed, constantly worried about the number of tests that they will have to take, or generally feeling like they need to rush through their exams.The truth is that many times, the 'flags' that people feel about their final exams are simply a result of these students comparing and contrasting their essays on different study guides. However, it is important to note that you should always write your own essay and not borrow essay samples from someone else's guide.The reason for this is that there are two different types of essay. Your study guide will tell you the essay is either a Comparison or Contrast or Combination Writing (depending on which format it is in), but a lot of students just write their own essay without realizing it.By writing your own essay, you will be making sure that you make the correct comparison and contrast. This can be difficult because you will want to avoid plagiarism but you cannot overlook the fact that you are relying on someone else's information. You may find that if you are comparing and contrasting different essays, you have a tendency to copy some information from another essay.This is also true when you are Comparing and Contrasting. A lot of students feel that they are doing a good job by comparing and contrasting essays, but when it comes down to it, the bottom line is that you have copied a few things from another essay. Unless you know the other person and can honestly tell yourself that you did not steal that information, you should make sure that you are writing your own essay.The fact of the matter is that using essay samples to help you is a great idea. After all, no one knows your personality better than you do, so you should write the best essay that you can, just as the person who wrote the sample used to.It is true that sometimes the students will make the same mistakes with their own essays as well, but the problem with using essay samples is that your work is based on someone else's, and therefore can be easily copied. There is no way that you can truly spot the difference between your own essay and someone else's.In order to truly prepare for the Exam, you need to learn how to write your own essay, and it is easier than you think. Remember that no matter what kind of essay you are doing, your first goal is to make sure that you do not write something that has been taken from someone else.
